SNewbie: Pictures of Collection

1 post

Hello ALL! Brief intro... Names Dan. I reside in Southern Ontario Canada near the Canadian Warplane Heritage Musuem. Lancaster when ever I want hahaha. We have the only flying example on this side of the pond. VR-A Lanc. Just want to join and follow along with Corgi more. Share my current collection (some not displayed). I collect 1/72 Corgi pieces. Have a number. Its always growing.

Looking at the 2017 catalouge is a littleeee disappointing... For me I am seeing the same old been done before aircraft. It would be great to see Corgi go out side the box and produce new WW2 planes. That is just simply what i collect.

Something exotic like a Horton 229 german jet or Arado  234 bomber rather than another me 262. Larger 1/72 pieces like an FW200 Condor. A Japanese Betty Bomber or b26 marauder rather than another B-25. Using the same tooling and applying different paint. Something new... that would get me breaking open the wallet.

I know the cost of re-tooling to make such pireces would be expensive. However I think it would get more people interested in again then rolling out the same models in different paint year after year. Although... if they did a yearly sunderland release... I would be all over that haha. My favorite 1/72's are those beautiful sunderlands.

Thanks for reading guys. Im happy there are other collectors out there enjoying the brand and aircraft as much as I am. Cheers
